"Fantastic work by Shelford Tree Services Ltd as an emergency call out to us here. We worked together on securing the site and made the hard but correct decision to fell the tree. We had an emergency call out on 10 September. A commercial client got the area cordoned off and our emergency action plan was carried out by Jamie.

A large mature liquidambar in a high-traffic pedestrian area had failed due to summer branch drop (or SBD) and bark inclusion.

Because of the large wound caused by the failed limb it was decided that the structural integrity of the tree had been compromised. The unfortunate decision had to be made to remove the tree to ground level in the interests of public safety.

Emerald Landscapes, on behalf of Barratt Homes

A large strip of vegetation and trees, bordering a high-speed road, was removed very quickly by Shelford Tree Service with very short notice. They left the site very tidy.
